Water Features

No matter the culture, the sound of flowing water is universally relaxing. Many clients use water features not only for an attractive addition to their outdoor living areas, but also for noise reduction due to the organic sound helping to blend the surrounding unwanted noises. Water features can be installed either as a focal point or constructed in a way that it flows with the natural aspects of an outdoor living space as a secondary feature enhancing the outdoor living area. At Outdoor Impressions we offer a range of construction styles for our water features – each water feature seems to take on its own identity and customization.

There are two specific categories of water features: pond and pond-less. “Pond” water features are just what you would imagine; a water feature that ties into a synthetic pond area. Many of these features consist of natural stone and a rubber liner for the interior of the pond.

The vast majority of the water features we install are “pond-less”. For a rustic accent to your property we can install a tumbled wall material or construction a stacked stone water wall. For a more contemporary feel, consider ceramic, wood grain, or glass tiles added into the feature. Other popular styles include ceramic pot bubblers, natural basalt stone bubblers, and precast bowls which act as a fountain recirculating the water through river rock. We can even create a pond-less river recirculating over distances to really accentuate the feature.

Water features often offer additional benefits to homeowners, such as increased curb appeal, home value, reduced noise pollution, and improved air quality. Overall, water features create a relaxing atmosphere unique to a Florida home.
